Musicians of Ma'alwyck Civil War Concert Musicians of Ma'alwyck presents "Listen to the Mockingbird," a concert themed around Hyde Hall's Civil War weekend on Sunday, August 18th at 7pm. Join Musicians of Ma'alwyck director and violinist Ann-Marie Barker Schwartz, guitarist Sten Isachsen, flutist Norman Thibodeau and guest artists Tess McCarthy mezzo-soprano and Charles F Schwartz, baritone for a program of music popular during the American Civil War. Repertory includes works of Stephen Foster, Septimus Winner (one of Lincoln's favorite song-writers), Meyerbeer, Flotow and Rossini, as well as popular songs of the period.
