Songs to Amuse

First Unitarian Universalist Society Of Albany, 405 Washington Ave, Albany, NY

Join us for an afternoon of cabaret style music with guest artists Byron Nilsson, Amy Prothro and Malcolm Kogut in songs of Flanders & Swann, Noel Coward, Stephen Sondheim and even a little Mozart.  The cabaret is paired with the spoof cantata Buxtehude's Daughter by Nilsson and composer Tom Savoy.  This zany work describes the unusual requirement attached to succeeding Buxtehude as music director at his church. Members of Musicians of Ma'alwyck will join Byron and friends for this piece.  Enjoy a delicious dessert buffet and champagne graciously donated by Randy Rosette.     Tickets are only $35. For more information call our office at 518/377-3623.
