ABOUT THE gala

Saturday, April 20, 2024, 6:00pm

Musicians of Ma’alwyck’s Annual Gala—Stage Door Canteen: A 1940s Themed Benefit for our June 2024 opera production A Waterbird Talk and for our 25th anniversary season (2024-25)

The Hangar at 743 on the tarmac of the Albany Airport serves as the incredible gala venue. This space is both a WW2 aircraft museum and a repair facility for WW2 planes. The gala room is entirely furnished with tables and appointments crafted from vintage airplane parts. Our evening includes appetizers and a full dinner, wine and beer bar, as well as a signature WW2 cocktail. Food is provided by Crafted Catering, Chef Will Brown, a rising star in the industry. Accompanied by Musicians of Ma'alwyck, Marlene Dietrich will take the stage following her recent USO Tour! Just kidding, of course! An amazing impersonator will bring her spirit to life. Throughout the evening will be dancing, performances, WW2 movies and lots of celebrating.

Consider purchasing a ticket at one of the Honorary Committee levels and be an integral part of the Gala's success. Honorary Committee levels are at $300 and $225. General admission tickets are $150. Tickets can be purchased at the top of this page, or CLICK HERE.

Interested in becoming a corporate sponsor of the 2024 Stage Door Canteen Gala? Benefits offered include displaying your company's logo in lights at the Gala, an opportunity to greet attendees during the event, program ads for this and future events, and tickets to the Gala. For more information, contact Caroline Brown, Gala Committee Chair, at carolineflemingbrown@gmail.com.
